Hôtel Tea began with Room 018.

Hôtel Tea began with Room 018.

The first time I drank it, I stopped after a sip and thought, Wait. I need to close my eyes for this.

I could feel the warmth of a sunset on my face. I imagined being alone in a hotel room, watching the last light come through the window, with nowhere else I needed to be. I wanted to stay in that moment a little longer. So I called the room Extended Stay.

That was what I wanted to create: a space for me, for you, and for anyone who finds joy in a moment and wants to make it beautiful. A cup of tea can be a small thing, but the time you give yourself around it can feel like so much more.

To make that experience real, the tea had to matter just as much as the idea. I wanted to find the finest tea I could and know where it came from. My search took me to Georgia, where tasting tea at a small farm changed the course of Hôtel Tea. What began with one blend grew into buying a small farm there and bringing its tea to you.

Now each tea has its own Room. Some are for slow mornings. Some are for closing the door on a long day. And some are for moments you wish you could keep.

I created Hôtel Tea to give you space to be yourself and to be here, in this very moment, whatever it feels like for you.

Your room is ready.

Kindly,
Meg
